Last night Blizzard took down the Diablo 3 servers to update the game to the very anticipated patch 1.03, and has today released the full patch notes for everyone to complain about their class changes or celebrate bug fixes.

Featuring a large array of class changes, UI additions and general bug fixing, this new patch should hopefully clear up any issues players were experiencing while clicking away madly.
  • + Attack Speed bonus values on weapons and armor have been reduced by 50%
    • This change does not apply to quivers
  • High-end items (items level 61-63) will now drop in all Acts of Inferno and Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty
  • Repair costs have been increased for item levels between 53 and 63
  • Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses
  • While this is only a preview of some of the changes that Blizzard has implemented in patch 1.03, you can check out the full patch notes over here on the official website.

As with any major patch, bugs have a high chance of appearing even after many hours of testing and this is no exception for Blizzard. Many players are reporting that their XP bars have been frozen since updating and companions being stuck at level 13 regardless of the players level. This bug only seems to be relevant to players who have purchased the digital version of the game, however a quick fix has been identified. Simply changing your password rectifies the situation, and allows you to continue gaining XP.

Finally Inferno butcher runs will now be worth it.

    I didn't loose too much DPS. 1k.

    I like the direction.
