Responding to local demand, the developers of free-to-play shooter Blacklight: Retribution officially launched some Australian-hosted servers over the weekend, offering low-latency gaming for Australia and New Zealand PC gamers (Thanks Marlinblade).

Celebrating the launch, they've also knocked up a couple of Australian "weapon tags", which we presume are cosmetic trinkets that you can decorate your in-game weapons with and let everyone know where you're from. Check out the official site for more details.

Looks like it's time to get back into blacklight.

The only reason I stopped what latency :D
