Trion Worlds has announced Storm Legion, the first major expansion for their Subscription MMO RIFT. No release date has yet been scheduled, but the expansion will require the original RIFT and will be launched on both digital platforms and as a boxed retail product.
There aren't many specifics at the moment, but the official site does have a summary of some of the new features, which include two "huge new continents", a new stronghold city named Tempest Bay, a raised level cap to 60, a new soul for each calling, and "7 dungeons, 3 raids, a chronicle and more".
Storm Legion will also introduce Dimensions, a system for guilds to customise their own spaces within the game world, the addition of capes to player apparel and grandmaster crafting.
Well, clearly it's not dead if they're making content and expansions for it. It's not bad as far as your very WOW'ish MMO is concerned. They do release content quite often too.
