Tripwire Interactive has today announced a Game of the Year Edition for their gritty World War 2 realistic shooter Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. Featuring all new content plus a large update fixing a range of problems, this update is absolutely free to anyone who owns or purchases the game.
Polish up your rifles and grab some ammo - the Game of the Year Edition for Red Orchestra 2 has just been released!
  • "Action" mode - Featuring a crosshair, easier aiming and toned down recoil, reduced damage and open access to a wide range of weaponry Action mode is the perfect first step for players into the world of Red Orchestra.

It was quite bugged with high ping when it first came out... which is why i stopped playing it.

Is it worth re-installing ?

I played it a few months ago and it was running perfectly, and the gameplay was great without any lag. There are a few Australian servers that are quite full and always running. Just don't prepare yourself for something like BF3 or COD, as it is very one-shot-you-are-dead style.

Game of the Year means nothing these days, most sites will do a GOTY thing. This got GOTY for FPS multiplayer from PC Gamer.

There are only three Australian/NZ servers that I can see, lol. The game is alright as long as it isn't Grain Factory or whatever the map is called, fucking awful.

kirk, they fixed alot of the issues that plagued the launch within the first few months. It's been playable for quite a while, now.
