We don't think there was every any real doubt that any of Sony's flagship characters wouldn't make the cut for the cast of characters in their upcoming Smash Bros-esque PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, so it was odd that when the game was announced, Uncharted's Nathan Drake and Cole from Infamous weren't among the listed names. But now they're all but confirmed.

IGN have noticed a tweet from voice actor Eric Ladin (the voice of Infamous' Cole) explaining that he's glad to be part of the cast of the game, along with Nolan North and David Hayter, whom most will know as the voices of Nathan Drake and Solid Snake respectively.

All three actors do perform a wide variety of voice-work for all manner of games, but their involvement in this project might as well be an official announcement.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is expected before the end of the year on PlayStation 3, with a PlayStation Vita version rumoured to also be in the pipeline (but not yet announced).
