Urban Jungle Engaged in Crysis 3 Debut Trailer

If 14 seconds wasn't enough for you, EA have now released an actual debut trailer for Crytek's next showcase of their tehcnical wizardry, Crysis 3 (thanks bepatient).
Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE®, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York, only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.

Looks nice. The story in the first two was quite compelling, but this time I hope it's more than "hunt down the remaining aliens lolz". We shall see..

So many 1/2 second clips its impossible to tell what the fuck is going on, not to mention toward the end you have strobe effects on top of the clips. Got a headache now.

Really curious as to what the story will be in this one. I was super disappointed with the story in Crysis 2, so I really hope they redeem it in 3.

How so? Crysis 2 was insanely pretty and spectacular. Despite consoles. With DX11 and HR textures it was even better.

This is coming after all those Dx11 and HR textures will be on PC out of the box. They'll all be better otimised as well. On top of that they got Crysis 1 working on consoles now.

So There's no reason to assume this won't be the best looking of the bunch.

looks good, only thing i hate fighting aliens, fighting people or zombies is much more fun. crysis 1 had a good mix of both human and alien, 2 was pretty but crap, 3 looks to be more of the same :(
