Another day, another free to play Mech game it seems. Indie studios Roadhouse Interactive and A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games have announced a new turn-based game for PC based on the official Mechwarrior license and set in the BattleTech Universe.
MechWarrior Tactics is the latest evolution of turn-based strategy and blends tactical gameplay, deep collectability, and unique online features, and is set against visually stunning environments for the supreme MechWarrior battle experience. Players earn, collect, and purchase combat and aesthetic resources to outfit each Mech and prepare for the next online battle.
There's no in-game media available yet, but you can find a more detailed feature list and some concept art with a bunch of familiar giant robots on this
new game page.
MechWarrior Tactics is due "2012" on PC. Prospective commanders can register their interest and secure their player name over on the
official website.

That's not an acronym; it's an initialism. Also I don't like the sound of free-to-play with collectibles, sounds expensive.
