The Wii has sold over 90 million units worldwide, which is an astounding amount of success, and so when it comes to breaking world records, Nintendo definitely know their stuff.

The latest Guinness Book of Records addition for Nintendo is the Wii Balance Board, used in conjunction with the Wii Fit to monitor BMI, weight, height, and even allows you to do yoga.

The Wii Balance Board won the Guinness World Record for “best-selling personal weighing device”. To achieve this record, Nintendo had to sell 32 million units between its launch in December 2007 and November 2010, which comprises of 22.6 million bundled with Wii Fit and 9.4 million bundled with Wii Fit Plus.

This is definitely an amazing record, showing how gamers are adapting to the new technology given to them, and even fitness style games and their peripherals sell.
