Taking a departure from space marines with giant necks, Gears of War and Unreal Engine developer Epic Games have revealed their next title with a trailer at the 2011 Spike VGAs, a zombie-themed shooter titled Fortnite.

Not much has been announced to go along with the video, but as the trailer suggests, the game is a colorful shooter where players band together to build a fort during the day time, and bunker down in it to fend off a zombie invasion at nightfall. By the looks of it, it's a mixture of the likes of Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Minecraft and Garry's Mod, which sounds like a winning recipe to us.
