You might be slaying dragons, wooing woman or buying property in Skyrim, but your RPG devotion need not stop at Tamriel's northern most province. Early next year 38 Studios and Big Huge Games will be unleashing their monster RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which boasts an equally large world, thousands of weapons and other collectibles and quests galore. But it also has something a little different to most other RPGs of this nature: fast-paced, frenetic combat.
We had a chance to speak with the game's Lead World designer, Collin Campbell, while out at a recent EA event in Vegas, and have a full written interview (the video was unusable due to inebriation on my part - Jetlag and Vegas' fault, honest).
It's still very insightful though, and well worth a look for anyone bitten again by the fantasy RPG bug.
