The next major firmware update for the Nintendo 3DS is set to arrive on December 8 here in Australia and around the rest of the world, and features a few new big additions.

Users will now be able to record up to 10 minutes of 3D video as well as create 10 minutes of 3D stop-motion or time-lapse. You'll also be able to do a complete system transfer from one 3DS to another, and this includes downloaded software. StreetPass has also received a bump with new puzzles to complete and even new arenas in StreetPass Quest. The eShop also gets a once over offering users the ability to now download demos, in-game content and even nab DLC while the system is in Sleep Mode.

The machines should definitely be getting a bit of a dust-off during the holidays with the likes of Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 among others. We'll drop you a reminder on the day though, just in case you forget.

I have no problems with 3D movies but I tried a 3DS the other day and after about one minute felt weird.
