It's that time of year again for sports game fans and tomorrow marks the Australian launch of the biggest of the bunch, EA Sports next annual iteration of the hugely successful FIFA soccer franchise.

Like all sport-based videogames, the fundamentals stay the same each year, but the tech and features evolve -- some years with bigger leaps than others. AusGamers resident sports game buff Amos Hong runs around the 2012 pitch and delves into the changes and improvements in-store for us this time around.

Find out his verdict in this in-depth review.

If you want to play Fifa online, maybe. How long till EA 'Stop supporting' FIFA 2011?

Have they implemented an online season yet? Smashing an online premier league with one of my mates would be awesome.

Not if you bought FIFA 11. I didn't, plus I got it for $65 so i think it's a decent purchase.

Well I actually got it cheaper than $65 but that's the price I can get it for, for others, on console.

The precision dribbling feature also appeals to me cause i'm the dribble king, ask my mum she seen me play.

I've always maintained that the skill moves are for faggots and the left thumbstick dribbling is the way of the pros.

Well some right stick dribbling moves do actually allow you to change direction quickly and effectively to create space, but only a few, the rest are for Christiano Ronaldo dick riders.
