Gotham City Impostors Hands-on Preview

At the recent 2011 GamesCom event in Cologne, Germany, Warner were offering a hands-on experience with their upcoming first person shooter, the rather offbeat Gotham City Impostors. In development at Monolith Productions [F.E.A.R., No One Lives Forever, Blood], Gotham City Impostors is a multiplayer-focused shooter wrapped in a light-hearted use of the Batman IP.

What Gotham City Impostors lacks in a maximum player limit, it more than makes up for in charismatic charm. Comparisons to Team Fortress 2’s humour are well founded, which is immediately evident in both the premise and presentation of the game. The idea is simple: a ragtag group of Gotham City inhabitants are keen to prove their worth as superhero replacements in a battle for control of the streets.

I'm keen to try this out, it looks fun, the crappy costumes look awesomely crappy too. Its gonna be a downloadable game isn't it, not a full retail release?
