A few of you had probably already heard the rumours that this one was coming, but developer Stainless Games have now officially announced the development of Carmageddon: Reincarnation (as the name would suggest) a long-awaited sequel to the classic combat racing games from the late nineties.
"Who are Stainless Games?" you might ask, well they're actually the developers of the original Carmageddon games and have reaquired the franchise license after a decade of low-profile downloadable and portable titles. "Carmageddon has returned to its Indie developer roots, and the time is right to bring the game to a new audience,” said Patrick Buckland, CEO and Stainless co-founder. “Originally an ambitious title that tested the hardware limits of its day, we’re excited that the game will finally get the showcase it deserves on today’s platforms.”Stainless are aiming for a 2012 release on digital download platforms and is currently seeking a publishing partner.

I wonder if they are still forced to make zombies instead of humans,
would not be suprised if they still are zombies in this sensitive day and age we live in...
It's good to see stainless is in charge of this anyone else i would not be interested.
