THQ and Volition Inc have pushed back the release date of Red Faction: Armageddon by a mere week, from June 2 to June 9, which could be attributed to E3's presence around the same time, but it's unlikely and is probably simply related to distribution logistics or manufacturing. Whatever the case, THQ have yet to drop an official reason since Kotaku pointed out the delay.

In the meantime a demo for the game is due to land on Xbox Live on May 3rd, and PSN permitting, the PS3 as well.
