![]() Today we have a new gameplay trailer from each and while at face-value they appear to be generic action-game shovelware, there's at least some indication and precedent that they could possibly turn out ok. Most would be quick to pan both as quick cash-ins, but there's a little room for optimism as the recent Batman: Arkham Assylum has shown that it's still possible to craft a solid game from well-worm comic book characters. That veteren writers are penning the story for both games and screen actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will be reprising the roles of their movie characters in Thor also add a little more hope on these two. Check out the trailers below or click through for HD options of Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier. Both games are pegged for a Winter 2011 (U.S. Summer) launch alongside the upcoming movies with Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS as the target platforms. What does everyone think? Glimmer of hope, or no-chance shovelware?

Shovelware. Thor looks especially uninspired.
