At the recent PAX East 2011 event in Boston, Montreal-based indie developer Trapdoor Inc revealed WARP, a stealth-action game targeted at downloadable platforms that will be published by Electronic Arts' EA Partners division.

The game is described as "a sci-fi stealth-action title unlike any you've seen before" and centres around a cute looking alien creature that's been captured by humans to be experimented on. The scientists apparently didn't count on the creature's ability to teleport however and as the player, you have to control this guy on a puzzle-filled escape-mission with optional revenge opportunities along the way.

A gameplay trailer of the complete section of the game that was being shown at PAX is now online and you can watch it below (or here for the HD option.

WARP is due on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation network in Winter 2011 (U.S. Summer).

I love indie games, and this looks fantastic. I think indie games is where the meat and potatoes of the industry is at today.

Pfft, does the alien also have x-ray vision or better? How can it know what's behind doors and walls :S
(Actually the thread title pretty much said it all, it looks fun.)
