Via yet another print magazine exclusive, THQ have announced the next sequel in their popular tongue-in-cheek open world action franchise, Saints Row: The Third.

There's no screenshots or trailers yet, but Game Informer is teasing their April 2011 cover with a couple of pieces of artwork. Here's the juice from the press release:
Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen. Strap it on.
Saints Row: The Third is postured for a 2011 "holiday season" launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

And will probably be banned (swearing, excessive violence, drug use etc.) before it even gets released with the way the Australian Classification Board is going with games these days.
