SEGA have lifted the veil on the next title currently in the works at Platinum Games, the Japanese developer behind the Wii-exclusive Madworld and the more recently released Bayonetta and Vanquish (PS3, X360).

Anarchy Reigns is described as a "fresh multiplayer experience" in the brawler genre.
With ANARCHY REIGNS, PlatinumGames will be using their hallmark creativity and technical excellence to challenge the boundaries of the conventional brawler genre by allowing multiple players to get involved in heavy-hitting action simultaneously. ANARCHY REIGNS incorporates a diverse range of multiplayer modes to provide players with different challenges, including Tag Team battles and Battle Royal, where players can challenge others in a full-on fight for victory.
A couple of announcement screenshots can be found on our new game page, but between those images and that brief description, it's tough to tell what to expect. Our best guess would be something resembling a more platform-appropriate take on Madworld with a cooperative multiplayer element.

Anarchy Reigns is due on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2011 (U.S. Fall).
