Following the recent -- and very successful -- launch of the iOS title Infinity Blade, gaming blog Joystiq have caught up with Chair Entertainment co-founder Donald Mustard, who revealed a couple of interesting facts about development changes since their acquisition by Unreal Engine creators Epic Games.

Mustard explains that Infinity Blade was first conceived as a title for the Xbox Kinect motion control tech, a concept that most who have played the touch-screen slasher RPG should be happy to hear that it took a turn for the hand-held first:
"We always have some cool ideas on deck, and kind of the inception of Infinity Blade began as a discussion around: 'If we were going to make a Kinect title, what would we make? What would a Chair Kinect game look like?'," Mustard revealed. "That discussion happened, you know, a year and a half ago. We had this really cool design, and it's not that dissimilar from the game you're playing today; it's just been refined and adapted to the iOS screen, which honestly I think is where the design works the best."
For those that remember Chair's announcement back in early 2008 that they were working on a video game based on the Ender's Game novel, Mustard has also confirmed that that project has been laid to rest at Chair:
"We have and had an amazing design for the Ender's Game game," Mustard assured, but "one of [parent company] Epic's primary objectives is to create original and unique franchises. I don't know that Ender's Game fits into that strategic objective anymore."

"So, probably not," Mustard said of the project's completion. "Not from us."
With Infinity Blade out the door, Chair have yet to reveal what they will be working on next, but Mustard admitted that there might still be some life in the Kinect project, telling Joystiq "If the Kinect really takes off over the holiday season, who knows?". Personally though, we'd like to see more Shadow Complex first!

Um yeah, definitely no problems on the iPhone4. Looks gorgeous and plays amazingly well. well worth spending the cash to pick it up if you're chasing a fun, but challenging hack & slash game that looks pretty.
