THQ and KAOS Studios have released another developer diary style video promoting their upcoming Homefront first person shooter. Today's clip is titled "Large Scale Warfare" and focuses on the multiplayer aspect of the game, explaining the games battlepoints system (which AusGamers covered in detail in our hands-on preview) as well as the "Ground Control" game mode and how they impact the flow of multiplayer matches.

THQ PR also took the opportunity to remind us that Homefront will indeed support a dedicated server solution on both PC and consoles with locally hosted servers planned for Australia. Here's the tasty quote:
"Kaos Studios and THQ are committed to providing dedicated multiplayer servers around the world, including Australia, for both console and PC versions of Homefront. Furthermore, the PC SKU will allow gamers to set up and host games on their own servers, a feature that has been slowly disappearing from the online space in recent years."
Check out the "Large Scale Warfare" Dev Diary trailer here on AusGamers.

Homefront is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 10 2011.

I like it a lot. But I feel that they are making the vehicles too simplistic. I hope they make it cost alot of battle points for a tank or chopper and make it so they are hard to use. But from what i see here that's not the case.
