CD Projekt RED have finally given us a solid release date for their much anticipated follow-up to their critically acclaimed and multi-award winning The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, confirming the game would land May 17, 2011.

"We’ve decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game,” said Adam Badowski, project lead at CD Projekt RED via press release. “Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait”.

Apparently there will also be more info in the coming days during the CD Projekt Conference due to be held November 18, so stay tuned.
