Starcraft 2 v1.1.3 Patch Released

Blizzard have released another update for the popular Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, addressing a couple of balance and bug issues.

New game categories have been added to filter Tower Defense and Tug of War custom maps.
Thor - This unit will now prioritize attacking ground combat units over Medivacs.
Fixed a desync that could occur when trying to watch replays that had a dependency on bank files.

As usual, in addition to the in-game auto patcher, the update is available in redistributable form and you can find the patch applicible to the Australian retail versions locally on AusGamers here for Windows PC and Mac.

So I just got demoted from Silver to Bronze in 2v2 with stagrrr after an epic bad run of losses - we were at the top of our division for ages and only going up, then we lost like 8 games in a row or something horrible. FML

Glad to see no balance changes.

Season 2 of the GSL has been amazing so far after the large balance patch, a nice fair spread of terran/zerg/protoss progressing through the rounds (Season 1 was like 90% terran).

Boxer (T) vs NesTea (Z) in the finals this Saturday for $87,000.

from 1700 to 1300 in HON in about three weeks. absolutely terrible stats

in the last 3 weeks
75% of my games have had a leaver on my team
60+% of my games my team has wanted to concede within the first 10minutes

So i'm looking at videos on that GOM site that chub linked too and fucking christ do those commentators ever shut up? the videos are them talking for 3/4 of it then it's like a 6 minute game. Give me husky any day.

Don't get me started on e-sports.

Gom is far from perfect but they're working very hard.

Tips on gomtv,
-Set 1 will always include a long intro of bullshit, skip to a point where the drones are just starting/early builds.
-The further in the rounds (ro8, semis, finals) the longer the bullshit will be.
-Try to avoid the timer, it ruins the gameplay.

EDIT: Gom is a sub service, set 1 is available free, so yeah... if you're just browsing, every match will include the bullshit long intro, it's like the intro to a footy game where the commentators spew shit. Set 2/3/4/5/6/7 go into the gameplay within 10-15 seconds, not a single word beyond "Here we go, game 2".

I can definitely understand how annoying that is for non-subs.

:( don't get me started.

I got a live reference from the commentators due to my forum rage for the timebars.

Hate seeing like a "14:50" out of the corner of my eye while trying to buffer/fullscreen then in my mind it's stuck... "14:50, someone is going to GG", then at 13:00 or whatever you see a massive army move out and you go "bah, it's ruined, no suspense".

They are 100% up from Season 1, where spoilers were massive text on the homepage and comments (which spoiled) were directly displayed in the videos.

Only 2 months old, they are improving /shrug.

GOM is awesome, and I like listening to Tasteless and Artosis talk bullshit. Some introduction to the players they are about to cast is actually pretty good I find, considering I know no South Korean players at all. Chub's right about the first set usually being the worst for talk / game play, on the VODs after Set 1 they cut straight to the start of the game for the rest of the sets.

Artosis/Tasteless are awesome.

I watch every match though, if my maths is right that's 63 matches in a month.

Bo3, Bo5, Bo7, that becomes 300-400+ games.

Gomtv are slow learners, nobody wants to hear the waffle with that amount of gameplay... I would be happy if they didn't do intros till Ro8.
