The indie crew at Sweden's Arrowhead Games have released some new promo videos for thier little Diablo-style action RPG Magicka, giving us another taste of the quirky humour to come when the game launches early next year, courtesy of their new publishing partner Paradox Interactive.

Save the world of Magicka from doom as a co-op effort of four or single handedly using a fully dynamic spell system. Prepare to defeat the evil wizard as you wreak havoc and devastation on the minions of darkness in thirteen different levels of play. Experience a world of fantasy like never before.

Originally slated for a 2010 release, the devs explain the cause of the slip into 2011 with a funny little two-part silent film. Check it out below.

Magicka is now due for release in Q1 2011 on "PC and consoles".
