While fans of Beyond Good and Evil might have been left out in the cold with the game's sequel seemingly being developed at such a snail's pace; it's very existence something of a disputed point, Ubisoft have decided to offer something of a lifeline.

Turns out sometime next year they plan on re-releasing the critically acclaimed original as a digital download for both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network, in gloriously re-visualised form, thanks to a high-definition make-over. No other details beyond that are currently available, but we should have a release date for you and info on any changes to gameplay once Ubi give us some more juicy info. So fans of Jade and Peyj - stay tuned.

Cool, I loved the first game. Though I bet they're just upping the texture resolution and stuff like that. My PC version I bought on Steam is already "HD."

Actually Midda, it is being fully remastered to output at 1080p and will allow player to "unlock achievements and trophies by discovering new secrets in this masterpiece adventure game." Also, the music score is being remastered as well

That's not what I'd call "fully remastered." The PC version already outputs at 1080p if you monitor supports it.

I don't know what so good about this game. It wasn't adventuresome to me at all. It had gay fighting and stuff in it. I bought it off steam but meh I stopped after I was down in the cave with that alien thing had to defeat.

My idea of adventure is the likes of Sierra and Lucasarts.

Imagine if Sierra games got released in HD. I'd cream my pants.
