StarCraft 2 Patch v1.1 Thursday Brings US Server Access for Aussies

Blizzard have confirmed that the version 1.1 patch for StarCraft 2 will be dropping this week and is currently scheduled for a Thursday release, bringing the promised access to the North American Battle.net servers directly into the game for Australian players. The blog post linked above has a brief FAQ. Most of it seems pretty obvious, but some interesting stuff:

Q: How will my friends list and rankings be handled?

A: All account-specific data, including friends lists, rankings, achievements, statistics, titles, and unlockable rewards, will be tracked separately for each region's Battle.net servers, and will not carry over between them.

yeah pretty much everyone will be switching to NA.

will the pings be noticeably different from SEA, though? if so first person to make a noob friendly ping service like wowtunnel for sc2 will be raking in some cashmoney.

Not for telstra. But for optus it is a lot better on NA.

also Don't care about stats so starting from scratch doesn't mean shit to me tbh.

no achievements? i told myself if they did carry over id play, i put too much time into them to do them again, no thanks. killed the game for me.

But uve done them on SEA its not like its deleted. Or do you think when people profile you they really care about your total ach points?
