As if all the reviews and "ner, ners" out there weren't teaser enough for PS3 owners when it came to Mass Effect 2, EA and BioWare offered up their own teaser at GamesCom, though this one has a massive silver-lining in that it reveals the critically acclaimed Mass Effect 2 will be rocking Sony's home console January 2011.

There are no other specifics given, so whether or not there'll be a "Game of the Year"-like edition (with all the currently available DLC at retail), or any PS3-exclusive content remains to be seen, but at the very least, PS3 owners have a solid month or two of some of the best sci-fi gaming to catch up on.

Check out the trailer below, or download it here.

Just in time for the launch of ME2 as well... oh wait. If you own a PS3, then you no doubt own a PC. And if you wanted to play ME2 already, you would have legaly or not. Why'd they even bother.

why did they even bother releasing the first game on pc months after the xbox?

its because people want to play it on their preferred platform and theyre willing to wait and buy it when it does.

guess this means me3 will be released on xbox,ps3 and pc.

If they dont release a GOTY edition similar to Fallout 3 ( being that it had all the dlc included) i'd be pretty amazed.
