QuakeCon 2010: Day One Wrap-Up

As you're most likely aware, AusGamers is at this year's QuakeCon event, being held in Dallas, Texas. Today was officially the first day of festivities with the event's first panel discussion as well as John Carmack's official annual keynote, among much, much more.

We have a bunch of stuff to come over the next little while, but have put together a day one wrap-up, which features some great information that came out of the event's kick-off segment (with info on bundle game prices on Steam or the App Store, specific to QuakeCon, new Bethesda acquisitions, and a mention of Doom 4 from Todd Hollenshead), along with a wrap of Carmack's keynote, replete with great quotes. Stay tuned for more.

Also how come we don't have any Ausgamer Quakecon vids? I know that others have videos around but I'm not going to link them here..... Carmack using idtech5 on iphone as an example.

Dan is in New York, Steve is at QuakeCon and another guy is off sick. So I am doing everything ;( miles behind.

edit: looking around I can't see anything obvious that is an official release trailer ?
