$49.99 regular $74.99 Collectors. I guess prices are in USD (no AUS site... no suprise.)
I'll be pre-ordering Collectors.

It's worth checking out the EU site as well, it's not showing release date or prices however has a pretty cool design;

I'll be buying this because I loved FF11. However this game has been described as "patheticly boring". After seeing some combat videos I can see why they would say that. Though that was Alpha footage so since they have sped everything up a fair bit judging from comparison videos. Anyway looking forward to this. Ill get the collectors edition for sure.

EDIT - Here is the comparison video showing the different game speeds.

Judging from this video it seems combat looks pretty interesting. Each attack and ability seems to consume a specific amount of meter, and this meter is constantly filling up. I like the idea of that. It's not WoW combat speed but anyone who has played FF11 knows that combat was insanely more complex than what WoW is.

It won't be just a button masher, you'll have to time your abilities well in order to get the maximum damage by the looks of things. I like the comparions, thanks DM.

If they keep the combat system from FF11 then that is exactly right. Each special attack has an element attached to it. Do a set combo, like fire + wind for example and it'll create a big explosion of fire which does damage, and lets you combo into another "burst" as they call it. Not just for melee either. Magic attacks that land just after the burst do extra damage. All awesome ideas.

Yeah, but if you played FFXI within the last 3 years you would know that SC+MB is a slow way to kill things. And Spamming off your Weapon Skills as soon as you can is much faster.
For XP at least. HNM/King/Gods are better off either straight TP burned, or Mana-Burned.
