After officially unveiling Dead Space 2 over the past few months, but muttering nothing official about PC, Visceral Games have finally buckled under the PC gaming community pressure (or just wanted to let the proverbial cat out of the bag), stating that the desktop platform would indeed see the game gracing its superior parts.

The official statement came via Twitter ('official' and 'Twitter' seem so far apart): "Dead Space PC lovers can relax! Dead Space 2 is officially coming to PC", which should sate fans of the first game. There are rumblings we'll be seeing multiplayer too, which could actually be what that "more action focused" statement not so long ago meant.

Dead Space 2 is currently slated for Q1 2011.
