2K have confirmed the Australian release date for their upcoming criminal action adventure, Mafia 2 - 27th August, 2010. It has already been rated by the Classification Board as MA15+ - which seems pretty interesting in itself, considering the recently announced inclusion of Playboy images - that old sexual content/violence link that our classification system currently hates.

We got the chance to play this game hands-on at GDC a couple weeks ago and we'll have some impressions of it up soon - suffice to say that it is looking really lush and is shaping up to look like a great sandbox-style game.

In the meantime, check out our Mafia 2 games page for more information, screenshots, and trailers!
