Just a reminder to anyone who hasn't checked out the awesome Darksiders yet - you can download a demo of the game from both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network which is actually the entire first dungeon of the game (so it's a lengthy demo).

A God of War III has also found its way onto the PlayStation Network in Europe, which means we should be seeing it hit Aussie PS3's very soon (Sony hadn't responded to our enquiry at the time of writing), so stay tuned for information on its imminent arrival.

You can also check out our Darksiders review right here.

I grabbed the GoW3 demo (the E3 one) a couple of weeks back when EB did a promo for it via Twitter. 2.6gb (ish), but a hell of a lot of fun. March 18 is too far away.

Would I have needed to play the first two God of War games? It doesn't strike me as something thats too heavy on story, is it just pretty much that theres a half naked painted guy who's pissed off at the gods and wants to kill them all?

Not really. Sure the story is somewhat interesting, but it's fairly clich├ęd and you'll figure it out in the first few minutes. Just need to know that Kratos hates the gods and plans to kill them all with the Titan's help. That's it. From there, it promises to be another kickass hack & slash adventure with a bit of puzzle action thrown in for good measure.

It helps to play the first 2 khel, they are f*****g excellent games and the story is pretty cool and you can see it leading up to something epic... given they have remastered the games in hd for ps3 its worth looking into before playing 3..

having played the remastered 1 and 2.. i must say they did a f*****g excellent job.. the game looks as good as a rushed ps3 game..

Just tried Darksiders. I'm behind in the latest batch of console games because I had to pay for my new PC and PS3 repair. Seems like an ok game. Enough to warrant a purchase but I have Heavy Rain, Yakuza 3 and FF13 to buy/finish first.
