Blizzard have once again demonstrated their long-term commitment to their software with another new patch for Warcraft 3, correcting a minor crash issue. There are 64 different versions of the patch, covering two operating systems, two releases (one being the expansion), and 12 languages. Here's a handy list of them all, but most people will want one of the below:

Incremental updates:
- Patch v1.24c to v1.24d [English]
- The Frozen Throne Patch v1.24c to v1.24d [English]

Full updates:
- Patch v1.24d [English]
- The Frozen Throne Patch v1.24d [English]

Mac OS X versions:
- The Frozen Throne Patch v1.24c to v1.24d for Mac OS X [English]
- The Frozen Throne Patch v1.24d for Mac OS X [English]
- Patch v1.24c to v1.24d for Mac OS X [English]
- Patch v1.24d for Mac OS X [English]

You'll find Warcraft 3's release covered in our Decade of News feature - way back in 2002.

Just updated it to remind people that it came out in 2002. So if you bought Warcraft 3, you bought a game that has been actively supported by its developers for 8 years. Worth bearing in mind when you're deciding what the shell out your hard-earned bucks on next.

You should really check out the patch log, yes they do still support the game patch wise but in terms of balance changes and content fuck all has been done for several years.

It's mainly just updates to the map editor or exploits now. Nothing too exciting.

I'm not a fan of the strategy genre but warcraft 3 is the only game of its type that i really got into.
