Offering a much better glimpse at High Moon Studios' new Transformers concept than the previous teaser trailer, Activision have released a debut reveal trailer for Transformers: War for Cybertron.
Transformers: War for Cybertron features two distinct storylines: the AUTOBOT campaign tells a story of heroism to save their home planet against overwhelming odds, and the DECEPTICON campaign tells a story of an unquenchable thirst for power to control the universe. For the first time in a TRANSFORMERS title, fans will be able to play the game with their friends through team-based online co-op, or go head to head in a variety of intense, online multiplayer game modes. The game features a sci-fi art style that introduces to fans the entire living, metallic world of CYBERTRON, as well as all-new visualisations of the iconic TRANSFORMERS characters in their original Cybertronian forms.
Today's clip is only a cinematic video, so no real indication of the gameplay as yet, but it's sure looking a damn site better than the recent movie-game tie-ins. See for yourself right here on AusGamers.

Transformers: War for Cybertron is in the pipeline for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and both Nintendo Wii and DS, currently eyeing off a non-specific 2010 release.

The blue meatbag planet would be better if it had the awesomeness of Spike and Sparkplug.

No, it'd be better if humans only get in the line of fire.

Why is Frank Welker left out of his role as rightful voice of megatron? What do these game devs (and Bay for that matter) have against him? They get Peter Cullen fine but not the other?
