SEGA have an early Christmas present for us today, before the PR crews close up for the holiday break - a new trailer for the hotly-anticipated (and recently re-classified MA15+ in Australia) Aliens vs Predator.

Today's clip offers a glimpse at the storyline with snippets from a variety of in-game cut-scenes and gameplay. We also get a hit of a familiar voice, Lance Henrikson who is reprising his role as Charles Bishop Weyland in the game - the head of the notorious Weyland-Yutani megacorp and inspiration for the Bishop android from James Cameron's Aliens.

Check it out right here on AusGamers.

Aliens vs Predator is due on February 14th 2010 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Can you think of a better Valentines gift than the special edition with the face-hugger?

WYC=UAC hehe . . not surprising since Doom was originally meant to be based on Aliens but then Carmack said "change to hellspawn" to keep creative freedom, but still there were many remnants of Aliens. The trailer looks quite good, but until I actually play I won't be fully convinced. Is Rebellion in fine form these days? Were Shellshock 2 and Rogue Warrior freak accidents? Did they not care about those projects but AvP is safe as houses for being a genuine labour of love? Only time will tell I guess
