Over on GameArena you'll see 40 dedicated servers
now available for the Left 4 Dead 2 demo, which will be dropping on PC players in the next day or so (those that pre-ordered, anyway - which seems like the opposite way you'd want to do it, but whatever - everyone else will have to wait until later to get it). Internode also have some up and no doubt other Australian game service providers will be following suit.
It's worth a mention given the increased profile of the dedicated server issue as a result of Modern Warfare 2 opting out of this tried-and-tested system of providing multiplayer services for gamers. If you're interested in Left 4 Dead 2, you now know that there's going to be servers available, ready and waiting for you to connect to the minute you get that bad boy working.
(Sure, it's just the demo, but given Valve's history we expect this to extend to the full game as well.)
