Pre-Load Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Now

Well, that's for anyone who officially pre-ordered the game on Steam anyway. Valve have let us know anyone who was quick enough to pre-order Left 4 Dead 2, can now begin pre-loading the demo which is set to go live Tuesday, October 27 (US, so 28th-ish here). If you pre-ordered via Steam, you'll likely have been given your access code already.

Of course, Left 4 Dead 2 is surrounded in controversey here in Australia where the game suffered an immediate RC upon its initial classification submission, only to have a modified version cleared while Valve appealed the original RC, which we recently learned had not gone in the company's favour, with the original game submission still RC'd. Still, if you're one of the people who pre-ordered, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the demo when it's up an running.

So why bother giving the people who have already purchased the game access to the demo, shouldn't the people who have yet to decide play it just as early as those that haven't?

Or is this also an "open beta demo alpha version plus" ?

My left4dead2 demo folder is 2.7gig.

I'd check my freezone usage but I downloaded dawn of war2 at the same time cause of format hdd.
Check the official forums someone always posts threads like that.

So have the guys who have done the work around (either through gifting or proxies) to get the uncut version actually got the uncut version?

Or has it still only downloaded from an Aussie server and hence a censored version? AND are you compatible with the rest of the players in the demo?

Cheers, will be getting this as soon as I know the uncut one will be the one that gets downloaded through gifting :)
