Movement All Over the Place in new AvP Trailer

Sega and Rebellion have released a new trailer for AvP, revealing the first gameplay footage from the Alien's point of view. Playing as the Xenomorph alien is all about speed and crawl-spaces. Creep around in the shadows, through tunnels and vents then pounce from the ceilings on your unsuspecting victims and gnaw a hole in their face with your inside teeth. Hell yeah.

Aliens vs Predator is expected in February 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Oh that's my bad, don't know how that 2 got in there. SEGA are just currently referring to it as "Aliens vs Predator", but there's no official word as to whether that's still just a working title or not.

Looks fucking sweet, but I always wished the AvP series never had the predator in there... there's enough cool shit in the Aliens universe for a game all on its own

what braindead idiot thought, ill take two entirely different and awesome in their own right franchises and combine them for a super mega awesome franchise!

as cool as this game looks, even just hearing the title makes me a little bit sad

According to the notes which accompany the first Aliens vs. Predator graphic novel, the original idea of combining Aliens with Predators was the result of a brain-storming session between the comic's authors (Chris Warner is specifically credited) in the late 1980s.

Did you not ever play that game mode in the original AVP where it was 1 predator vs all the marines, and whichever marine killed the predator, swapped places... Was uber fun multiplayer.

Original AvP was the scariest fucking game ever when it first came out. Playing the marine missions in the dark, full volume and no save games was god damn intense.

yeh that's Predator vs Marines though, not AvP. It's just weird they felt the need to bolster the brands by joining them when either of them would have done fine on their own, I reckon. Now instead of having one 'pure' game for each we are just going to be subject to the stupid fusion

only people that give a shit about the movie lore will ever care about this of course

I thought so too but it could just be low quality video. However the game looks pretty boring anyway.

In the original AVP, once I was pred and had the disc, I never died.

Oh look my auto tracking triangle is locked onto something in the darkness, fire disc = win.

I like the aspect of 1v1v1, or 2v2v2 etc. Gives it more depth and isn't as shallow, which I know how you like your fps trog :)
