Welcome to another new little (intended to be recurring) feature we thought might be a good idea.

The aim of Over the Weekend is to re-cap on any of the tastier gaming goodies that may have come in after the AusGamers worker-gnomes clocked out on Friday afternoon. A common occurrence seeing as our friends across The Pacific often like to have their Friday on Australia's Saturday.
  • Super Street Fighter IV: It was already confirmed in scans and on the rumour mill, but Capcom has now officially announced the return of DeeJay as a playable character in the next Street Fighter release. The dancing Jamaican kickboxer joins the already revealed T.Hawk and newcomer Juri. All three are featured in this debut gameplay trailer.
Deemed too much for DLC, Super Street Fighter IV is due for release at a budget price-point in Autumn 2010 (US Spring) for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising: Realism is the subject of the latest trailer for Codemasters' upcoming first person shooter as the developers discuss the length's they've gone to for authenticity.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising hits PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 15.

  • Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City: We've got one more trailer (and what looks to be the last) showcasing more characters from the forthcoming Xbox 360 exclusive DLC for GTA IV. The latest clip introduces Armando Torres and Henrique Bardas two gang bangers you'll no doubt be dealing with during the course of your errands in the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony.

The trailer also reminds us that the first DLC The Lost and the Damned is also included in the Episodes from Liberty City, featuring Brian the bearded biker. Look out for this one on October 29th.

I would've liked to wait a bit more on SSF4 cause there's still plenty of life in SF4. It was only released like Feb this year..
