The game didn't make it past the Australia Classification Board, but that won't stop Aussies checking out a sampler of the game along with the rest of the world. Deep Silver today released a playable demo for Risen, an action RPG from Piranha Bytes, the German developer best known for the Gothic series of games.
This epic role playing game is set in a medieval world on a volcanic Mediterranean island, The Risen story unfolds over four chapters and will offer multiple ways to develop the story by his own actions and decisions. An innovative and intuitive user control interface will support both the casual and hard-core gamer. With full world streaming support, the player will have a seamless experience while playing in a fully simulated game world with authentic characters.

"The game didn't made it past the Australia Classification Board" shouldn't it be "make it past". I heard this game got a decent review.

The Gothic games were always pretty solid, but the trailers sure don't sell this game.

Make sure to share your thoughts on the demo.

Wait... a German made game did not pass the OFLC.... does that make Australia the most uptight and backward gaming destination globally?

Well it did get RC'd for it's rewarding sexual and drug content, not for violence. German censors generally only care about violence (and Nazi zombies).

Wasnt a bad game really, not sure why it didnt get past the OFLC, can anyone let us know why it didnt pass?
