The Official Star Wars The Old Republic site has revealed what was already a bit of a no-brainer, but officially there will be a Sith Class for the upcoming BioWare MMO.
An unstoppable force of darkness, the Sith Warrior is entrusted with the task of destroying the Empire’s enemies and enforcing Sith domination across the galaxy. The Warrior channels the destructive emotions of fear, anger, and hatred to purge weakness from body and mind and become a being of pure, brutal efficiency.
If you check out the link above, there are three very, very short videos showing off some of the Sith's powers, but it all still looks very cool. The Sith Class is the fourth announced Class for the title alongside The Smuggler, Trooper and Bountey Hunter classes.

Here's what I don't like about the Sith class (this is true of basically every lightsaber-wielding character in every SW game):

They swing their saber and it doesn't lop off limbs.

Basically in the movies, the lightsaber is shown as this stupidly awesome powerful weapon that is capable of just chopping people in half with barely any effort whatsoever. Also you can push it into solid metal and it melts shit.

In TOR, like in an MMO, the combat is this long, drawn out sequence of animations that shows the characters whaling away on each other. When one of these is a character with a lightsaber, it looks really weird when they're hitting a character 48 times and they're still standing.

I realise this is just part of the game mechanic - but it looks sort of silly when you compare it to the movies.

And what's the deal with health packs? I didn't see those laying around in Empire after the Wampa attack - they had to put Luke in a whole tube of bacta for that to work.

stop ruining the dream of an awesome mmo ! it can be achieved !

but i agree about the lightsaber thing. very draining to watch a light saber give off sparks when u slice someone.

An unstoppable force of darkness, yet my money is they'll still be zapping womp rats down in beggars canyon until they reach at least level 5.
