Nintendo have announced their animation program for DSi, where you can create your very own animations, will be available on as DSiWare from the Nintendo store from August 14.
Do you remember seeing old-fashioned flip-pads when you were a child? You draw a sequence of images, one per page. Flicking through the pages at speed creates the illusion of movement - which is exactly how cartoons are made today. Flipnote Studio is an application which allows you to create these animations on your Nintendo DSi! These animations can then be shared online via a special service accessible with the Nintendo DSi: Flipnote Hatena.
If anyone grabs this, be sure to drop by and let other members of the community know how it is, I'm hoping it's a solid application though.

Ah, that's true, but if you have a "home brew" kit that is also an SD adapter, shouldn't that work? I'm just grasping at straws here, cuz the kiddies would absolutely love something like this and I'm not going to go and dish out money just to buy 2 new DSi's.
