Just in time for the weekend, our very own Kosta Andreadis has had an extensive look at the new Xbox Live and PSN offering from EA and DICE, Battlefield 1943, and come away feeling somewhat sated the guys behind the dev kit really know what they're doing.

There's a fair amount of buzz around these games on their respective system at the moment, and given the small size of the download, shooter fans would do well to check it out.

Less interested in this for PC now, unless the delayed PC version has more content.

Don't know about the 360 version but in the ps3 version you cant choose which servers you would like to join (unlike warhawk) which sucks because the lag is often unbearable from the u.s hosts.
