With the PC version of Resident Evil 5 due this September, Capcom have released a few platform specific screens, as well as a benchmarking tool. Like the Street Fighter IV benchmark tool, users can download and run the software to test whether or not their system will be up to scratch when the game is released.

Additionally, Resi 5 PC is also being pimped by Nvidia as it will support a Nvidia optimized 3D stereoscopic mode, a feature which is available in the latest GeForce and 3D Vision drivers.

Download it right here (600MB) from AusGamers Files and stop by our Resident Evil 5 game page for more details on the game.

600MB for a benchmarking tool? Does it also double as a demo?

Just ran this, i gotta say this game has pretty damn good graphics and performs well too. Was running it on all high with 1680x1050 2xAA on a 4850 512mb 2.5ghz dual core 2gb ram and it was averaging 40-60fps.

I've been playing RE5 coop with a friend and I haven't had this much fun with a coop game in ages!

I just ran the benchmark thingy and was averaging 49-50 frames a sec

Intel i7 920
GTX 295 @ 1920x1200
Vista 64

But after watching the gameplay it looked pretty shit. Maybe they only showed the crappy parts but so far that hasn't done anything for me.
