Atari have let us know some of cricket's biggest names have jumped on board Codemasters' forthcoming Cricket sim, Ashes Cricket 2009.
Ricky Ponting and Kevin Pietersen will be the face of Ashes Cricket 2009, the official videogame of this summer's tournament, Codemasters announced today. Ponting and Pietersen will be the game’s cover stars along with Shane Warne and Sir Ian Botham also playing a prominent role in the game.
On top of news of these guys signing themselves over, we also have a few new screenshots for anyone eagerly anticipating the game which can be found right here on our Ashes Cricket 2009 game page.

I'm not sure how much money codemasters will have left soon, they paid huge $$$$$$$$$ for that F1 contract....... that now seems pointless.

So hope they make this one up to standards.

SO have they said if they will customise it for the wii properly, or just put in some shitty swing the controller anywhere and it hits the ball randomly type controls.

I was thinking they could even use the balance board, turn it sideways and it could detect body movements, that would be awesome. They wont do that though and the wii controls will probably be crap.
