QVS Australia have sent through some information surrounding Aion, a new MMORPG from NCsoft set to hit Australia this September.
Launched in Asia in March of this year, the game currently has over 3.5 million players and is outselling World of Warcraft three to one. With intense and impressive visuals, Aion has gamers ascend into divinity and fight in an epic celestial war with over 1,500 story driven quests. Gamers are able to choose between two divine factions, the Asmodians and the Elyos, and battle in a virtual quest to save their people from ancient evil. The game offers the following:
  • Customised avatars: Aion takes personalisation to the extreme allowing players to craft their avatars with endless choices of face shape, eye colour, body type and hair colour, meaning no two characters are the same.
  • Flying: Flight adds a new dynamic to the game and proves to be a strategic and integral part of the Aion experience. Gamers can take to the skies early on and take part in combat, quests, exploration and harvesting.
  • Combat: Flight changes the battlefield in Aion with players able to experience revolutionary combat in the hotly contested area of the Abyss, between the upper and lower halves of Atreia. Gamers also fight against the Balaur, an ancient race freed from imprisonment within the Abyss, for control of valuable strongholds and artefacts.
We have a handful of screens available for the game on our game page, and be sure to stay tuned for info from E3 next week.

Tom Clancy Universe rolled into one MMO rather than recycling the same titles over and over imo.
