![]() Solidifying his desire to create a strong company with industry experience and foresight, right out of the gate, the Pirates of the Caribbean director has just signed on Jim Veevaert, a Microsoft veteran who served as producer on Halo 3 (among other titles) and Jay Cohen, an ex-Ubisoft head who helped launch Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell, among other big names. "We want to get it right," Cohen told Gamesindustry.biz. "This is about how long and how deep we can go in creating brands and IPs that can last for a long time, that we can build upon for a totally multidimensional entertainment value – whether that is in games, film or television." Whatever Bruckheimer touches, it's bound to be big. But will it be good? Sounds like his company is taking their foray into games seriously enough to poach these two guys. Tags: assassin's creed
