More evidence videogames can be asserted as an artform. Pixel Junk 1-4 for PSN is an artistic puzzle shooter that takes traditional gameplay formulas from the likes of the original Asteroids and combines them with outside-the-box puzzle-solving with a tantilising end result.

We have a new trailer for the downloadable PSN title right here on AusGamers, and can also tell you, after having had a short amount of hands-on time at one of last year's Sony PAUSE events, this game is a seriously addictive amount of fun.

Looks awesome, also looks like the first complete game in the Pixel Junk series rather than something that just feels like a tech demo or something (not that I've properly played any of them besides Eden).

Any word on this one's release date?
