Max Payne 3 Coming This Year

Rockstar have released a teaser piece of artwork along with a release period for the third installment in the Max Payne series. Max Payne 3 will rock your Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this summer in Australia.

"We�re starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games." This is Max as we�ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."

It could be he's more cynical after he dealt with the Hollywood treatment, too. Stay tuned for new media and information as it becomes available.

Hope it is better than that movie LOL. These games rocked... besides those annoying dream sequences where you walked around random hallways and dark rooms for ages.

Yes spook, you really really should. They are great single player games. For the most part play well to this day.

They were good third person shooters for their time, but imo don't really think they'd hold up too well revisiting them today.

The first 2 Max Payne games were also developed by Remedy Entertainment (who are currently working on the belated Alan Wake), whereas this one is Rockstar Vancouver (The guys that made Bully) so doubt it will have much in common with the first 2 outside of characters and story.

He looks like the homeless bum version of Sam Fisher from the new splinter cell game in that picture, or one of the bikies from the GTA4 expansion. Doesn't look much like Max Payne

Let me get this straight. They made a game. They made a movie about the game. They are making a game about a movie about a game. Ugghh.

... or one of the bikies from the GTA4 expansion.

That's what I first thought. I don't see this game matching the first two. Hope I'm wrong though.

Yeah and instead of bullet time he goes into bikey time by throwing on a leather jacket, sunnies, bling, hops on a motorcycle and swears like a trooper.

It's a little weird, it looks like his face is supposed to be straight on perspective wise (judging by the nose and whatnot), but you can still see the side of his head. So if you could see the whole face, it'd look a bit like this.
