With BlizzCon 08 still fresh in most people's memories, Blizzard thought it would be a good idea to get fans nice and geared for the event's details in 2009, announcing that it will be taking place in Anaheim, California in the US on the 21st of August.
"We've been amazed by the incredible response to each of our previous BlizzCon events," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're pleased to be bringing the convention back to Anaheim this year, and we look forward to this new opportunity to meet Blizzard gamers from around the world."
As usual the event will have tournaments, guests, merchandise and more, but the earlier event date this year could be a bit of an indication of some releases
other than World of WarCraft (we're looking at you Diablo III and StarCraft II).

bad thing is, i can't seem to stand playing diablo II....has anyone had a crack at this recently? fark the graphics are appauling. i remember back then they were pretty average. gotta find a 15' crt to get the graphics to a bearable level.
though for some reason i can still play starcraft without worrying about the visuals...
